Message to students! My name is Lester Larrondo and I am a 47 year old ESL teacher from Chile, South America. I have a Diploma/ BA in English language and a 120 hrs TEFL Certificate, plus 20 years of teaching experience. I started teaching English in the year 2000, right after I graduated from colleague. I was fortunate to be part of an international program which brought me to NC, USA to teach Spanish and ESL in Primary school. Ever since that moment, I haven’t stopped and I have kept teaching different levels and age groups. I have taught at language centers to adults, kids and regular students in private schools. I have taught TOEFL courses and general English to adults and executives from different companies. I use the communicative approach which is the hardest one to achieve for an ESL language learner. At the same time, I teach reading, listening, writing and grammar. I believe when you learn good grammar, you can speak better English. Even though I have been teaching for many years, I always find it challenging and quite demanding, and I am always learning and improving myself. Despite how challenging and demanding teaching can be for me, I am still motivated and happy to be able to help students improve their English. I consider myself professional, hardworking and reliable. I can work in teams as well as independently. I like to create my own material such as worksheets and activities. I usually have a good rapport with my students and have good classroom management. I am a serious and a senior teacher who takes this job thoughtfully.
